The last thing we have to decorate in time for Christmas is, of course, the dinner table! Probably where we will be spending most of the night anyway, so it’s important to make it look nice and cozy for everyone.

I’ve selected a few ideas that should inspire you to add cute flourishes to your dinner table, creating a wonderful Christmas tablescape. And most of them are pretty easy to DIY, so that’s a major plus.

Take a look, get inspired, and merry DIY’ing!

By betting on the color white you can create a beautiful tablescape that invokes the feeling of a snowy winter. Add a few beige tones and candles for a bit of warmth, and it will make your dinner table resemble a snowy landscape.

Rustic evergreen

You can do a lot with a simple wooden table. Use white plates to create a strong contrast and decorate them with evergreen ornaments – it’s simple, but combined with the rustic wood, it creates a pleasant look.

Of course, you can complete the look with a couple of candles, really cementing that rustic vibe. It’s almost as if you’re dining in a cute log cabin in the woods!

Christmas shakers

These are some of the most adorable ornaments I’ve ever seen. Add tiny trees and christmas related ornaments inside a salt shaker (whatever you can find that’s small enough to fit in there) and use them to decorate your dinner table.

Keep in mind these are meant to be used for decoration only – if someone tries to salt their food with these, they would probably create a massive snow storm!

Napkin rings aren’t hard to make. You can actually find tons of them to purchase straight away, but for DIY purposes, there are hundreds of ways to make your own with simple materials. Add a few golden touches with golden paint or spray to give them a fancy look.

Greenery, candles, and fruits

Always worth remembering that you don’t need a lot of ornaments to make an impression. Clever use of a handful of decoration pieces is more than enough to create something beautiful. Here, a few branches of greenery, pomegranates, and candles were laid over a neutral tablecloth – and you got yourself a look.

Make it snow

The snow motif is too appealing to let go off just yet. Lay a fluffy white table cloth across the middle and use pure white vases with evergreen to drive the point home. Combine that with gold or wooden tones for a natural and effortless contrast!

Take a bunch of empty gift boxes and use rainbow colors for the wrapping paper. Now you can lay across the table for a colorful rainbow of gifts! Super easy and quick to do, but makes a great impression.
