It's finally time to talk about everyone’s favorite holiday! It almost feels like no time has passed since last Christmas, yet here we are again. And we have a lot to talk about for these following weeks, so let's not waste any time!

Let's get started with Christmas decorations. One of the most exciting times of the year for me, as I've always loved decorating – it's nostalgic, cute, and helps me create new wonderful memories.

I want to focus on creative decoration ideas, but nothing too crazy. After all, no one has an endless budget for the decoration, let alone time to get it all perfect. So let's focus on keeping it simple, but elegant!

“And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time." – Jesus Christ

Just because we're decorating, doesn't mean we can't add a few special treats. A table in the corner can become a hot cocoa bar for everyone to enjoy – first your family throughout the week, and then the guests during Christmas Eve!

You can find a ton of these for very cheap and they look incredible to add a vintage charm to your decoration. They can be displayed on a table, over the mantle, or even near your tree.

Bedrooms are often forgotten when it comes to Christmas decor, but not today! Get yourself a change of sheets and bring out the festive linens. Even your bedroom will look like Christmas now, with an extra touch of cozy to match.

The gifts are always a treat to display under the tree, but you can make it look even cooler by wrapping them yourself. Choose a matching color scheme (even a single color is fine) to make all the gifts look like they belong.

The fireplace is often a focal point when it comes to Christmas decorations, but you don't have to go all out to make an impression. Keep it simple and focus on a minimal garland with perhaps a few candles or evergreen touches. Classy!

In fact, now that we’re here, did you get your chimney swept this year?

Personally, I've always loved the idea of advent calendars – even though as a kid I always wanted to skip days so I could get to Christmas faster. The idea is pretty straightforward: determine a theme for your calendar and open one gift every day until Christmas.

Simple evergreen

As mentioned before, you don't have to get too crazy with decoration if you're short on time. If you have any evergreens in your yard or from previous decoration efforts, bust them out now to create something beautiful.

Garlands are a staple of Christmas decor, especially those that wrap around the staircase. For many (including myself), it's one of the most iconic pieces of decoration this time of the year!

And remember, you don’t have to make it too colorful or add too many decorations to it. A simple string filled with evergreens is already enough to make a statement!

Wrap the front door

Here's a pretty unique yet clever idea: take a ribbon and wrap your front door like a present! It's elegant, stylish, and super easy to do – you will probably have leftover ribbon anyway.
