If you’re a bookworm such as myself, you must be so curious to see the pictures we’ve collected today! There are stairs painted to look like books as well as book staircase stickers, both of which look super awesome. Classics
Even though this staircase isn’t actually finished yet, it already looks awesome! Filled with great classics like The Great Gatsby and even The Holy Bible, these stairs were all hand painted with acrylic paint and then covered with a coat of sealer.
Book Mountain
This little girl loves sitting on the top of this staircase, pretending she’s on the top of a book mountain! I’d sure do the same (both when I was a little kid and now). In this case, Valhalla-Vanguard started the project to save some money rather than spend on carpeting the whole staircase. It paid off pretty well, don’t you think?
This is how it happened:
- All the steps were painted black
- After letting it dry, they painted the book cover colors
- Lastly, the titles and final details got painted
Welcoming Entrance
This project can also work for a library or office entrance! Not only are the steps designed to look like the spine of the books, the last step is painted to look like the last book’s cover too. This staircase is painted with acrylic paint as well. It’s a popular choice because it becomes water-resistant when dry - so you can clean it without worries!
Fiction Lover
These steps have all the best from sci-fi, fantasy, and the classics. As a sci-fi enthusiast, I have to say this is actually my favorite. This one is a collage made with vinyl stickers and it creates a great final look!
Homey Staircase
This home also filled with classic English literature looks super cozy. I kinda feel like curling up in a blanket and getting a book to read while sitting on one of these steps (a bit weird, I can see that, but it’s not like I’m actually going to do this...or am I?). Either way, this staircase is painted with emulsion paint - a type of paint that adheres to the surface and it’s also water-resistant!
