Our teachers are the ones who motivate and inspire us for a huge portion of our lives. They truly dedicate their lives to making ours better everyday. So it’s only fair that we take our time to appreciate their hard work!

Even the simplest of gestures can say a lot, which makes handmade gifts for teachers from students such a heart-warming gesture! Every teacher would love to have a student give him or her a gift!

“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” - Henry Brooks Adams

Sugar Scrubs

Everyone loves sugar scrubs and they have the advantage of being so easy to make! You can use different essential oils to mix and match amazing essences (if you know your teacher’s favorite, it’d be a nice bonus!).

All you need is:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon vitamin e
  • 15 drops of lavender essential oil

Mini Name Globe

These are super fun to make and the results are beautiful! Any teacher would love one of these sitting on his or her desk to remember that their hard work pays off.

And this is how to make one of these:

Simply disassemble a regular world globe, painting the base gold and the actual ball with whatever color you prefer using spray paint. Let it dry and reassemble the globe. Once that’s done, use a decorative pen to write your teacher’s name (or even a nice motivating message), and craft paint to paint flowers (or whatever you think will please your teacher).

Decorated Notebook

This is one of my personal favorites! If you’re a softy like me, you probably get super happy with a simple thank-you note (sometimes even just a warm hug is enough). That being said, you can make this with a notebook, some scrapbook paper, some pencils, and a decorative lace.

This is how to assemble everything:

Cover the notebook with the paper, then print an adorable message to thank your teacher and tie the pencils to the notebook with the lace. It’ll look amazing!

Crayon Candles

Crayons are a common school supply and I’m guessing we were all the same and just looooved to draw and color with them! This craft is very simple to make, and very nice to decorate a home, I’m sure your teacher’s going to love it too.

Framed Initial Letter

Although this is a more difficult project, it’s an awesome gift and your children’s teacher will sure love it! You’ll only need a frame, crayons, and a bit of time to design the teacher’s initial!

Chalkboard Planters

This gift is too cute to handle! It’s a lovely and useful DIY that the teacher can enjoy to actually place some plants later on. Better yet: if the writing starts to fade, they can just rewrite it with a piece of chalk!

Caramel Dip Apple

There are individual caramel dipping sauces that are perfect to complete this gift! Giving apples to teachers is an old tradition, but try revamping it a bit with this caramel sauce - who doesn’t love caramel-dipped apples?! And you don’t even need to refrigerate it until it’s open. Wrap it with an apple in a bag with a cute card and you’re all set!

Okay, I know this isn’t exactly handmade, but it was so great it just had to be on the list! This mug is so beautiful that I want one for myself - as a former teacher and a coffee addict, I can say I’d love one of these coming from a student. Of course, you should still consider giving it with a handmade card to add your personal touch!
