We hired Hartel Constuction to do a full remodel of our basement, including adding a new heating zone for the basement. We also had them put in a new kitchen floor, along with a couple other tasks. We had recently hired a basement waterproofing company to put in a sump pump and waterproofing system in our basement. We also had them rip out all of the walls in our basement so that we could start from scratch with a new basement remodel. We got quotes from three basement remodeling companies, including Hartel construction. Hartel's quote was the lowest price, and also had the most detailed proposal and the best plan for our basement. We absolutely love the results, and we found it to be a great value for the money. Martin, the owner of the company, did a great job of communicating with us throughout the remodeling process. He is very responsive via text message and phone. He kept us posted continually on the progress of the job. We were pleased with their work, so we requested several items of additional work along the way. These were handled quickly and done for a very reasonable price. We saw some photos of custom bookshelves from one of Martin's previous projects, and we asked for some similar custom bookshelves. They turned out great and the price was reasonable. We also asked Martin to do a couple of additional tasks such as putting in a new exterior light, an exterior electrical outlet and hose bib. We also asked them to put in a new kitchen floor for us. These also turned out great and were completed for a very affordable price. At the end of each work day, they did a good job cleaning up the area. Martin and all of his company's employees were very polite and considerate when interacting with me, my wife, and my kids. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.
