There’s nothing scarier than welcoming people into your house with a dose of spooky fun. Decorating your front door is by far one of the best ways to do it. There are of course many Halloween wreath ideas, but ultimately, you simply want something that’s unique from everybody else in the neighborhood and spooky enough to make your heart skip a beat.

We all know that pumpkins and candy are two of the most important things when it comes to Halloween decor and fun. So how about combining both of them for a spooky and enjoyable experience for the kids?

The only thing you need to do is cut open a large gourd or pumpkin. Drill two holes on either side and put in a collection of twigs to act as the handle. Fill the basket with candy and greet all those neighborhood kids as they come to trick or treat.

But in case you don’t want to add candy, you can still use smaller pumpkins instead. It’s still a beautiful Halloween themed decor that everybody will love.

If, for some reason, you don’t think all the outdoor pumpkin decor ideas are enough, you can take things up a notch by adding a few balloon spiders. Just think about it. Is there anything spookier than giant black spiders hanging from your exterior walls?

The great thing about balloon spiders is that they look scary and can bring a new spooky dimension to Halloween decor without going away from the theme of the day.

A retro candy wreath is built using old fashioned candy in autumn colors glued to a foam wreath.  If you want to take a ride back memory lane and bring those nostalgic moments of Halloween growing up, then this is the best decor to go for. It’s also easy to make and should add a Halloween themed feel to your entryway.

Welcoming guests with a dash of scary fun doesn’t have to end with the wreaths only. For instance, you can consider placing a neat spider web doormat at the front door and scare those little ones as they come to treat or trick. In some cases, you may add an accompanying spider to the mat just to make things a bit interesting. But everyone will enjoy it no doubt.

To make it, you’ll only need to purchase a black doormat and draw the lines using white paint and a thin bristle paint brush. Cutting the edges is optional, you can also just leave the piece in its original shape and it will still look awesome.
