4th of July Salad
If you’re planning a BBQ, this is a recipe you definitely need to try! This salad is healthy and the flavors combine so well. The ingredients are:
- 5 ounces salad greens
- 3 cups quinoa (cooked and cooled)
- 1 ½ cups blueberries
- 1 ½ cups raspberries
- Star-shaped watermelon slices
And the directions:
- Arrange one third of the greens on the bottom of a salad bowl.
- Top with half of the quinoa, ½ raspberries and ½ blueberries.
- Add the remaining quinoa, another third of greens, half the blueberries and raspberries.
- Top with the remaining greens and arrange the final half of berries over the top.
- Tuck a few watermelon slices on the sides and one on the top to finalize.
