It’s simply not Halloween until we talk about the treats! Halloween candy is more than just sweet, they are some of the most creative-looking candy you’ll ever see.

And while some people will really go all the way with making gingerbread haunted mansions, we don’t have to go that far to impress -- here we have a selection of easy Halloween candy ideas for you to try.

Keeping with the theme of simple is better, this cupcake can be literally any cupcake recipe you know and love. The only special trick is to add the topping to shape like a ghost and give it two small spooky eyes -- which can be anything like chocolate drops or even another candy.

It’s super convenient since you probably already know how to do most of it, all you have to do is add the extra “spooky touch.

2. Lollipop Ghosts

This is more a “trick than a “treat. The lollipop itself is left up to you -- you can make your own for an extra flare, but premade ones are just fine too. The star of the show is the wrapping made to look like a floating ghost, which is not hard to do at all.

Basically draw the eyes with a marker on a small piece of white cloth, then wrap it around the lollipop and tighten it with ribbons. The ribbons themselves in orange and black are a nice touch!

Keep in mind that regardless of whether you make your own or have the lollipops premade, you’ll want to keep a plastic wrapping underneath the cloth to prevent it from melting and staining.

All you need is as follows:

  • a tube of black gel
  • blanched almonds
  • pretzel rods
  • bright green candy coating

And it’s pretty easy from there -- if you’ve ever messed with candy coating before, you can probably already tell what you have to do. Regardless, here’s the full tutorial on this delicious treat!

4. Eyeballs

Lots of eyes on this list, now that we think about it. Well, turns out eyes are very spooky, being the most important feature of a face, so seeing them in places where they shouldn’t be is odd… just odd enough for Halloween!

This one is pretty straightforward as well, all it takes is a basic setup and you’re good to go!

5. Candy corn bark

And it wouldn’t be a Halloween/Fall list without a mention of candy corn. This one lacks the “spooky element, but that’s intentional -- maybe you don’t want candy that looks like cute ghosts or literal eyeballs, maybe you just want something… normal!

So here you go. Normal, but still thematic enough to fit Halloween!
