Kids are known to be honest - sometimes too honest - when we ask them simple questions. With Thanksgiving coming soon, we decided to take a look at what they have to say about Thanksgiving and what they are grateful for!
Dessert is the Best Meal
Lily, don’t worry, the best thing about being an adult is that you get to do gross things like eating JUST the dessert all the time. It’s not exactly health and probably ill-advised, but regardless, you get to do it. And that makes us very, very happy.
English, how does it work?
It’s not the most eloquent of arguments, but A) it was written by a kid, and B) that kid is totally right. We should be thankful most of us have easy access to food, from healthy tasty vegan snacks to the mysterious ingredients of fast food meat, we can have it all, and if that’s not amazing, I don’t know what is.
A rebel by nature
I somewhat agree, Kendra. I know it’s tradition and all, but what’s so wrong about just having chicken? It’s pretty much the same bird. In fact, I have a better idea:
And everybody lived happily ever after.
A comedic genius rises
“They don’t even teach Pi at age 9, Mr. Charis Vimont, so I would assume you’re reading the advanced books before your colleagues and that’s no good”, said the adult who barely knows how to describe Pi, let alone make Pi jokes. Or are we giving this kid too much credit and he just wrote “pie” wrong?
Children are so awesome
They are, aren’t they? I don’t think an adult would have the talent to craft such a weirdly convincing argument, that manages to be innocent, aggressive and adorable all at the same time. If there’s one thing in this world we have to thankful for, it’s children, and their infinite ability to surprise us.
